MEET OUR 2026 JUROR

Catey Arnold is Curator of Exhibitions at the Rockport Center for the Arts in Rockport, Texas, where she organizes more than twenty-five exhibitions annually across four galleries and oversees member and juried exhibitions, including the statewide collegiate showcase Rising Eyes of Texas. Since beginning her tenure in 2023, she has worked with artists from across the United States while maintaining a strong focus on artists working throughout Texas.

Previously, Arnold spent four years on the curatorial team at the Art Museum of South Texas. Her background also includes assisting with exhibition installations in museums, university galleries, and contemporary art spaces across the state. Together, these experiences inform a curatorial practice grounded in both institutional standards and artist collaboration. She holds a BA in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin.

Rooted in relationships built throughout her career, Arnold is particularly interested in connecting artistic perspectives across regions and fostering dialogue between emerging and established artists. Her work is artist-centered and community-oriented, guided by an interest in the broad range of creative voices throughout Texas and a close attention to place. She approaches exhibitions through a contemporary lens, with the intent of bridging the two.
